We meet for public Worship, corporate encouragement, hearing and learning God’s Word, and building one another up for Mission to our community and the wider world. We usually have two weekly gatherings, plus a number of other less regular church “Services”.
Our Service times and places are:
Sundays at 9:30am. Currently (since the fire at St. Paul's) we are only meeting at
St. John’s, in Fenton St., Devonport and
We also meet Wednesdays at:
10:00am at St. John’s in Fenton St., Devonport.
STOP PRESS - Due to the recent fire at St. Paul's, all services will be held at St. John's, for the time being!!
Sunday Services are usually Holy Communion, with a mix of older and more contemporary music, prayer, Bible reading and teaching, and an “all-age” spot aimed at engaging younger members. These gatherings are followed by Morning Tea and Fellowship together. When there is a “fifth Sunday”, we have one combined Service at 9:30, which is more flexible in style. This is usually followed by some form of joint family activity.
The Wednesday Service is a brief gathering for Bible reading and teaching, prayer, a brief teaching reflection, and is followed by morning tea and fellowship.
Special Services are held at other times for particular occasions and purposes. There are also short monthly Holy Communion Services in some of the Nursing Homes.
